As a busy healthcare professional working at Middlemore Hospital, I find apartment living convenient and practical. The location is perfect, providing easy access to work (trains and buses on the doorstep), dining and entertainment locally in Onehunga, and a minimal commute to the CBD, offering access to a city experience right outside the door. The ability to lock and leave frees up my time to spend on the things that are important to me, like family, friends and travelling.
The OMC specifically appealed to me as I knew the teams involved with the design and craftsmanship would create a high-quality development with beautiful features: Lamont and Co (now part of Precinct), Ashton Mitchell and Kalmar Construction. The amazing views from different sides of the building, with glimpses of sunrise to the east and the Manukau harbour and sunsets to the west, have been a key reason I chose my apartment. It has become my sanctuary amid a hectic lifestyle.

I took a leap of faith and bought my two-bedroom apartment off the plans. I sold my house in Papakura and waited for the apartment to be completed.
Moving in was so exciting and I love my new neighbourhood, the ease of living, and being close to my work at the airport. My second bedroom is used regularly by friends staying and they all love the variety of cafes and shops that we have on our doorstep. The train station and bus stop are great for stress-free trips into town. I couldn’t be happier with my decision.

We have prudently invested in property all our lives, with apartments as part of our portfolio. As a retired BRANZ man, building technical adviser, and inspector, learning who the developer, architect, and contractor has been crucial to our due diligence process. As with any property, location and surrounding amenities are extremely important - and we have never gotten it wrong! We chose a south-east apartment with lots of morning sun as our investment property at the OMC. We’re very happy with our choice, and we had no problem getting the perfect tenant.
During construction, I visited OMC often and was always impressed. The design is key, and we had the opportunity to visit many apartments, where we saw firsthand how amazing some of the views are.We have been so impressed with OMC and its fantastic location that I joined the competent Body Corporate team, Powerhouse Building Management.

The Upsizers - Oscar and Georgina
We were renting another Lamont & Co (now part of Precinct) apartment in Onehunga and loved our time there, so it was a no-brainer for us to look into purchasing our first property at the OMC. Having just had a baby, we needed more room and wanted to stay in Onehunga, which we love. We now have a much bigger two-bedroom + multi-purpose room perfect for our little family. We love being so close to all the shops and cafes on the Mall, and the proximity to the motorway and train station is ideal. We are thrilled with our new place.

As a loyal Onehunga resident, I wanted to stay in the community; however, it was time to sell my 3-bedroom home and downsize.
The OMC was for me, and I love my new apartment. There is plenty of wall space for my artwork. I could even bring my cats with me!
Downsizing was the best thing I have done, and I don’t regret it.
